In his previous life, Steve Spanier spent quite a bit of time in the corporate world. Working mostly for high-technology companies, he eventually came to believe that their singular goal of shareholder return led to activities that were not always in the best interests of everyone and everything on the planet OTHER than the shareholders.

Late in his career, he read David Korten's book The Post Corporate World and suddenly understood much of what he was seeing around him. Thus began a quest for information that eventually led to his starting an Orange County chapter of the national non-profit, non-partisan organization ReclaimDemocracy.org.

As he continued to learn, he became interested in spreading the word about the corporatocracy in which we all find ourselves. From his microphone at KUCI, Steve attempts to find a broader audience for this information.

Steve and his wife are now full-time activists, dedicated to helping people understand why the world often seems like such a strange place and what they can do to help create a new world where people are once again sovereign and the best intentions of our founding fathers are realized.
